Summer study group on Darfur (and the surrounding region)

presented by
Orange County for Darfur

As the atrocities in Darfur, Sudan continue, the entire region is subject to many horrors. In order to be most effective in our efforts, we will devote our meetings this summer to deepening our understanding of these complex situations.

The goal of this study group is to increase our understanding of the history and background of the region in combination with the most current developments.  Issues will be discussed in a context emphasizing the human experience of the people involved.

Our first meeting will begin with discussing the Cheadle & Prendergast book
Not on our Watch: The Mission to End Genocide in Darfur and Beyond

Order your copy and begin reading it now!
Reading the book in advance is suggested, but not required.

In order to stay up to date with ever-changing situations, additional reading selections will include items such as recent news, Op-Ed, and Enough Project reports.
