Genocide Prevention Month: Ghosts of Rwanda

Ghosts of Rwanda
How could it happen that America and the West stood aside and did nothing to stop the slaughter of 800,000 human beings over 100 days?

April is Genocide Prevention Month.

Come join Amnesty International (Irvine chapter) and Orange County for Darfur as we remember the Rwanda genocide by screening the exceptionally moving and well-done Frontline documentary, "Ghosts of Rwanda".

This event will be held in IUCC's Plumer Hall. Come early at 6:30pm for refreshments. The film is two hours in length and will begin promptly at 7pm.  Question and answer discussion will follow the film.

Here is a clip from the documentary featuring Carl Wilkens, the only American who chose to remain in Rwanda when the genocide began.
