Living Ubuntu Retreat

The Living Ubuntu retreat is a time to get away with a small group, focus on our own mind-bodies, as well as relationships, community and global issues. Away from the typical distractions of day to day routines, this supportive environment encourages letting down into awareness of inner feelings increasing our ability to connect more deeply with each other.

The weekend utilizes a model called the Four Circles of Relationship with our own well-being as the centerpiece and foundation of better relating in other aspects of life.

The Four Circles of Relationships include:

  1. The relationship we have with and within our self.
  2. The relationships we have with family and friends.
  3. Relating within community and like-minded others.
  4. Recognition of how we relate and respond to global issues as being the outward extension of these other relationships.

Instruction is combined with somatic exercises, globally-themed film, group discussion and process time, and the shared experiences of meal preparation and hiking.

Details:
Living Ubuntu has a retreat twice a year (spring / fall) in Southern California.
