Vincentia Schroeter, PhD. has been a psychotherapist counseling individuals, couples and families for over 30 years. She likes helping people sort through their relational and individual struggles to gain the potential to live happier lives. She has a particular interest in sorting through the difficulties we have in expressing grief and heartbreak. She has experienced the painful devastation as well as the transformative power of coping with her own losses in life.

I believe even when we are lost in struggle or pain, people are motivated to grow.

Vincentia received her PhD in 1999, completing research on attachment between mothers and babies. She holds a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of San Francisco, received in 1975. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and certified Bioenergetic Analyst, currently practicing in Encinitas and Escondido, California.  Her website can be found at vincentiaschroeterphd.com.

As a teacher, Vincentia brings enthusiasm and respect for each person’s process. The workshop will explore heartbreak from a somatic, emotionally expressive, and experiential format.  Why do some people tend to “get over it” more easily than others?  What can be done to work through pain so that one can carry on?  How can I go on without my lost love?

LMFTs & LCSWs  Attendance at this workshop meets the qualifications for 3 hours of continuing education credit as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.  Southern California Institute for Bioenergetic Analysis (SCIBA) is a BBS approved provider #4025.
