“Merchants of Doubt” – Sunday, September 27
Hi everyone,
Okay, so by now, we are all pretty well aware that smoking is ‘bad’ for your health and that tobacco companies put forth an amazingly effective propaganda campaign in the effort to successfully conceal the facts for a very long time. Beyond tobacco, what else has been dealt with in the same way? Just how many times have we been duped by misinformation to our own detriment? I am not one to readily jump on the conspiracy theory bandwagon… however, sometimes it is just the truth that we are not being told the truth.
Have you ever wondered what else has been hidden that might endanger our health?
What about climate change? Just how much effort has been, and possibly still is, put into concealing critical realities from us? With potentially catastrophic consequences from inadequate action, this is a pretty urgent issue to know about.
Sunday, September 27, OCCA will screen “Merchants of Doubt”. We need to have a really important conversation after the film, so while you could probably find another way to watch it, please come join us that night and be part of the dialogue. It is a free event. Please RSVP here to attend.
